Denise and Tom Brink, of Dow City, polish a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air that had was driven by Tom’s friend, Michael Heller. Heller was killed in Vietnam on February 20, 1970, as he exited a helicopter. Children scoop through a sand pile to find $1 coins and 50-cent coins at Dow City Fun Days. Waderich Towing & Auto Sales was the sponsor. Tony Hill donated the sand. Children searched for the coins according to age-group divisions. In all, $235 in coins were buried just beneath the surface of the sand.
