Two members advance to national contest

Fourteen Denison High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members traveled to Cedar Rapids for the State Leadership Conference March 24-26.

Celeste Gomez completed her term as District 2 State Vice President for the 2023-2024 school year.

The following Denison FBLA members placed in their competitions.

Accounting II: 1st place, Derek Lobaugh; 8th place, Joanna Gonzalez
Business Communications: 7th place, Magali Cuate
Introduction to FBLA: 7th place, Dulce Hernandez
Introduction to Financial Math: 10th place, Derek Lobaugh
Public Policy & Advocacy: 10th place, Celeste Gomez
Spreadsheet Applications: 3rd place, Achol Anyar
Word Processing: 5th place, Achol Anyar

Derek Lobaugh and Achol Anyar qualified with their first and third place wins to represent Denison and Iowa at the FBLA National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, this summer.
