March 27, 6:11 a.m.: The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office investigated a vehicle vs. deer accident that happened on 330th Street. Bryan Todd Davis, 38, of Irwin, was driving a silver 2016 KIA Sorento north on 330th Street. He stated he swerved to miss a deer and his vehicle went into the east ditch. The vehicle came to rest at a culvert. When it entered the ditch, the vehicle caused $1,000 damage to a fence owned by Larry Schwartz, of Manilla. Davis stated that the rearview mirror came off the windshield and struck him in the face, injuring his nose; he refused medical attention. Davis was transported to his residence. He arranged for his vehicle to be towed. The vehicle received $6,000 damage.
