Monarch boys fall to Lewis Central in soccer

On Tuesday, the Denison-Schleswig Monarch boys dropped a 4-3 soccer match at home against the second-ranked 3A Lewis Central team.

For the Monarchs, Chris Lara, Jackson Saravia and Emmanuel Prado each contributed a goal. 

Carlos Zamago had two assists and Richard Gonzalez had one assist. 

Sebastian Contreras had 10 saves; four goals found the back of the net. 

“It was a very hard-fought performance for a Monarch team that continues to grow,” said Head Coach Nate Desy.

 
 

Monarch boys shut out Creston in home match

 
 

The Denison-Schleswig Monarch boys scored a 10-0 shutout over Creston in a home soccer match on Thursday, April 4.

Richard Gonzalez, Chris Lara and Luke Wiebers led the squad with two goals apiece. Carlos Zamago, Isai Marquez, Jackson Saravia and Angel Jiminez all had one goal, finding the back of the net. 

In the goal, Sebastian Contreras had two saves and Christopher Magana had one save for the night.
