Denison Library Board to meet April 23

The Norelius Community Library Board will conduct its monthly business meeting at 5:15 p.m. on April 23 in the library’s Fireside Room.

Following are the agenda items: trustee training, public forum, review of monthly reports, library director's report, bills, committee reports, server project updates, building and content security updates, library staff wages updates, library parking updates, policy review, trustee evaluations review, finance committee recommendations, and end of fiscal year funds.

Board meetings are subject to Iowa Open Meetings Laws. The meetings are open to the public with the exception of personnel issues.

Schleswig Public Library news

The public is invited to stop at the Schleswig Public Library to check out some of the library’s new reading materials, including the new Danielle Steel books “Happiness,” “Never Too Late” and “Upside Down.”

The library also has a series by Louisa Luna – “Two Girls Down,” “The Janes” and “Hideout” and has the new John Sanford book, “Toxic Prey.”

Pippa White will visit the Schleswig Public Library at 1:30 p.m. on April 18 to give a presentation, “Far As the Eye Can See.”

Children are invited to the monthly STEM (Science, technology, engineering and mathematics) activity on April 25. It will run from 3:15 to 5 p.m. Snacks will be served from 3:15 to 3:30 p.m. STEM activities will include magazine scrapping, building projects and some outdoor fun.
