Your First Quilt Program, Norelius Community Library, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Program uses Stacy Lee Creatives Your First Quilt YouTube videos to assist in the instruction. Program for adults ages 19 and older. To register, go to the library's website and find the event on the calendar. If the class is full, register anyway for the waiting list. If there is enough interest, a second program will take place after the first one concludes. The program will run every two weeks until the quilts are finished.

STEAM Saturday at Norelius Community Library, 10 a.m., for ages 8-13, at the Children’s Library. 

Denison Parks & Rec Trivia Night and silent auction, Boulders Conference Center. Tickets $25 per person. Doors open at 6 p.m.; trivia contest starts at 6:30 p.m. Teams minimum of 5 to maximum of 8 players. To register a team or for more information, email denisonrec@gmail.com or call 712-263-8130 and ask for Sam or Tara. All proceeds to go to Washington Park.

Monday Funday at the First United Methodist Church in Denison. Free program runs 1-4 p.m., for children TK-5th grade. Drop-off times are 12:30-1 p.m. and pick-up times are 4-4:30 p.m. Activities include crafting, storytelling, group games, science, board games, recreation, and a lesson connected to living a Christian life. Mid-afternoon snack served. All denominations welcome. Last Monday Funday for the school year.

Norelius Community Library Board meeting, 5:15 p.m., Fireside Room

Crawford County for Life meeting, 7 p.m., Our Savior Lutheran Church, Denison. Everyone welcome.

Euchre Night at Ricketts Community Building, 7 p.m. Entry fee is $5 and there is no need to bring a partner. A fun night of card playing, socializing, treats and beverages.

Denison Elementary School first grade musical, 7 p.m., Denison High School Fine Arts Center.

Women in Business Luncheon, 12-1 p.m., Stables at Copper Ridge, tickets $15 each, RSVP before April 19 to Mariah Nutt at 712-263-5621. Includes meal catered by Staley's. Denison Mayor Pam Soseman will be the guest speaker and will talk about Denison's current initiatives, encouraging women in leadership positions, and getting involved in your communities. The Emerging Women in Business and Businesswoman of the year awards will be presented. 

Storytime at Norelius Community Library, 2 p.m. Stories, songs and a special activity at the end. Storytime lasts approximately 30 minutes including playtime. For children ages 0-5.

Sen. Chuck Grassley Crawford County town hall meeting, 3-4 p.m., Denison Municipal Utilities community room.

Euchre Night at Charter Oak Community Building, 7 p.m. No need to have a partner before the game. You will be "partnered" up randomly throughout the night.

Denison Job Corps Open House, 10 Opportunity Drive. Tours begin at 9 a.m. and start every half hour through 1:30 p.m. Learn about campus facilities, dorm-life housing, career training, recreation activities. The Denison Job Corps campus is a tuition-free education and career training program for young adults ages 16-24.

Fireside Book Discussion, Norelius Community Library, 2 p.m. Join in a lively book discussion. For this month’s book, inquire at the circulation desk.

STEM activity at Schleswig Public Library, 3:15-5 p.m. Snacks served from 3:15-3:30 p.m.

The Library Book Club at Norelius Community Library, 5:30 p.m. The book club will be reading books about books and libraries. The program will be the fourth Thursday of every month and is for adults ages 19 and older. Registration is required. To register, go to the library's calendar on its website and find the event.
